In Transit in Iceland

New York by the end was way to much hustle and bustle for us. Lehan even misjudged the spinny door thing at our hotel and ran into the glass next to it cracking it all over...funniest thing I have ever seen in my life...lucky nobody from the hotel spotted her cos it woud have been a lot of money to replace.

We were happy to leave for Iceland for a change of scenery. A 5 hour flight landed us in yet another cold country. Straight away we jumped into a cab...without asking how far Rejkavik was away from the airport...$150 later or 16000 krona later we were dropped out our hotel with warm welcoming staff who must have seen our jetlagged faces and offered a free breaky (even though we weren't able to check in) which started our Iceland experience off nicely.

We hung in the lobby for an hour or so, trying to push through the fact we were running on 2 hours sleep max...eventually one of hotel employers once again must have felt sorry for us and found us a room to check into super early! So we slept for a while before venturing out into the capital which uses 99% renewable energy...unreal.

The streets all paved with beautiful stone, the place was tidy and laid back. The people were super friendly and looked like they had all walked out of a magazine....stunning. It was only one day we had there but a day well worth it. A very pretty place that I'm stoked we got to see. Now in London sorting out my life once again....house, phone, bike, job etc etc. Back to square one.
